Norstead was appointed to carry out M&E works for the new refrigerated cargo terminal at the Port of Dover’s flagship Dover Western Docks Revival development.
The Refrigerated Cargo Terminal (RCT) is the main building on the Dover Western Docks Revival (DWDR) project.
The RCT was constructed where the current Hover port is located and adjacent to new Berth A. The eight chambers within the terminal have controlled refrigerated systems, with each chamber able to operate independently between 1-14°C (+/-1°C).
Each chamber is to be mechanically ventilated to provide a minimum of 0.25 air changes per hour (0.5 air changes for ethylene removal – max purge 4 chambers at any one time).
