The Scheme comprises the development of a new ten storey office block and two storey link building providing 16,500 sqm of high quality commercial office accommodation.

The building is to be concrete frame construction with glass and brick façade and is the centre piece of Northern Rock's campus and will be their new corporate headquarters.

Norstead were responsible for supply, installation, test and commissioning of the full Mechanical and Electrical Services package with responsibility for the co-ordination of these services utilising extensive computer modelling techniques to achieve in conjunction with the design team a modern energy efficient building form/façade.

Electrical works include a new HV/LV package Switchboard with rising main bus bar, low energy efficiency general lighting and power, data, CCTV, Access control and intruder alarm systems.

Mechanical services include ventilation with comfort cooling, trench and underfloor heating, domestic hot water with solar water-pre heating, natural gas, building management system and acoustic works.
