Project Summary:

Supply and installation of all required major plant requirements associated with the Mechanical Ventilation & Pipework along with the Public Health Services within the fastest construct of a new store in the world.

The installations included a LPHW Heating Boiler Plant, which supplied an assortment of plant including AHU's, Radiant Heating Panels, Calorifiers, Door & FCU Heaters. This System was further complimented by a Wood Burner Circuit, which utilises waste materials to heat the water.

Norstead were contracted to carry out the installation and commissioning of all the mechanical services as lead co-ordinator in conjunction with associated trades, and this was successfully achieved in a timeous and professional manner to the satisfaction of our demanding client.

The building's cooling requirements are made up of 2 No 1000Kw Chillers distributing chilled water via a packaged pump room to various AHU’s and Fan Coil Units.

Domestic hot water was provided by 2No gas fired hot water generators. Cold water was a mix of mains, tank and reclaimed water for the flushing of toilets.
